It goes without saying that we think the view from the top of Snowdon is unbeatable, but it’s great to see the rest of the nation agrees after the view from the summit was recently named the best in the UK!
The breath-taking view from the peak beat the likes of Stonehenge, Loch Ness, the Palace of Westminster and Giant’s Causeway to be named the nation’s favourite.
The poll, carried out by Samsung, asked 2,500 people to choose the UK’s best view.
20 sights were shortlisted and handpicked by a panel of leading travel experts from publications including Rough Guides, Mr and Mrs Smith, Wanderlust and Good Housekeeping.
Snowdon’s summit, 1,085m above sea level, offers views out across the mystical Llyn Llydaw which is one of the legendary locations reputedly linked to King Arthur, his sword Excalibur, and the Lady of the Lake.
Of course, the easiest way to enjoy the jaw-dropping vistas from Snowdon’s peak is to take the train.
Snowdon Mountain Railway’s steam and diesel services will be returning to the summit from April 28th when the summit building, Hafod Eryri, also reopens.
Book now to take a train to the summit and experience the UK’s most magical view…
