Snowdon Mountain Railway reopens for 128th Season!

Snowdon Mountain Railway is now open for its 2024 season, entering its 128th year of taking passengers to the summit of Wales’ highest peak.

Services recommenced on Saturday the 23rd of March, with trains initially travelling as far as Clogwyn Station, 779m above sea level and one stop away from the summit, where snow is expected to remain for a number of weeks.

Mid-May will see the return of the trains to Snowdon summit, and the reopening of Hafod Eryri, the summit visitor centre. The steam service will recommence a few weeks later in June.
