After a busy 2024 season, the railway and Hafod Eryri, the summit visitor centre, have now closed for the winter. The final few operational days saw multiple cloud inversions up at the summit, an incredible experience for staff and visitors, and the perfect end to the season.
The winter maintenance plan on the site infrastructure and locos, and commercial planning for next season has now begin.
Weather permitting, the railway plans to re-open on the 29th of March 2025, with trains initially running to Clogwyn Station 3/4 distance up the mountain, until the summit service recommences on the 1st of May.
2025 tickets will be available online for pre-booking in the coming weeks.
