    Pudsey visits Snowdon Mountain Railway

    01st August 2011

Snowdon Mountain Railway experienced a VIP guest last Wednesday (27th July), none other than - Pudsey. The event, in aid of BBC Children in Need, saw half a dozen young volunteers, aged 16-18, from Hybu Pobl Ifanc, walk up Snowdon, with Pudsey ready and waiting to greet them at the summit. Along with offering encouragement, Pudsey boarded the late morning train to tick off yet another adventure on his list- conquering Snowdon. Present on the day Marc Phillips, Head of BBC Children in Need in Wales & Gill James, Head of South Wales based youth volunteering program, Hybu Pobl Ifanc, heralded the day as a great success. “It’s been a wonderful day, with the weather being absolutely perfect. Snowdon Mountain Railway have been a great help at arranging everything, including those working on the summit” said Mr Phillips. All Of Pudsey’s adventures will be documented in a forthcoming BBC Children in Need Calendar, which will be available to buy in the next few months. Look out Paddington there’s a new bear in town… Back to Recent News
